Lagrein is a deep and intense red color, sometimes with violet notes. Its bouquet is broad and intense, ranging from ripe red fruits to violets, with spicy notes, fresh grass, and cocoa. On the palate, the wine has an assertive personality, with massive and velvety tannins, pleasant fullness, and a long, enveloping finish. The wine can be enjoyed when young, but a longer period of bottle aging will make it softer and rounder.
