Description
Long time has passed since Carlo Santi, in 1843, started his company in the beautiful and evocative Valle di Illasi, and the brand has become, over the years, one of the landmarks of the Valpolicella wine scene. Rich wine that fascinates the palates of the most distinguished tasters, as those of the profane who discover, at every sip, the aromas and softness expressed at maximum power. This wine is born from the encounter of typical vines of these areas (80% Corvina and 20% Rondinella), which for centuries have adapted to the terroir, getting the best out of it. An impenetrable ruby red with violet reflections, it opens on the nose with characteristic notes of sour cherries, dark chocolate, sweet pipe tobacco, sweet spices and aromatic herbs. Soft and warm to the taste, punctually reconfirms the olfactory description, has velvety tannins and perfectly melted to the structure. A long final. With dishes of succulent meat such as stewed wild boar, rare horse steak, hare in salmì or aged toma cheese.
