The story of the Italian Piansa Coffee brand is closely intertwined with that of the Staderini family: originally Pietro, founder of the brand in 1976; now his son Alessandro. Pietro, while still a boy, starts working in a popular café in Florence, a place where in the Sixties 4,000 cups of top quality coffee are served daily. That café belongs to one of the oldest and most prestigious Italian roasting houses. In that environment, Pietro becomes familiar with the excellence of coffee varieties. In 1976 Pietro opens his first café. Unhappy with the quality of coffee available in the market – which fall short of the very high quality standard he has in mind and wants to offer to his clients, shortly afterwards Pietro starts roasting his own coffee and opens his own coffee roasting house.
Alessandro was born and bred in a world of coffee. He inherited from his father the same passion for his work, the same love for top quality. He is successfully merging respect for tradition and openness to technology and marketing innovation.
